Have an plan of action once your business closes for the day
Designate an employee to make sure that other employees pulling their weight when it comes to cleaning and keeping food safe at the end of each day

When cleaning your business be sure to make sure that you get all fats and oils from those hard to reach places and that all bench tops, counters, floors etc are cleaned with the correct cleaning agent. For cups, plates and utensils make sure that they are sterilised in hot water and the correct detergent is placed in the dishwasher.
It is very easy for an outbreak of pest to occur without you realising. Say for instance German cockroaches you see them at night time and depending of the infestation you could very well see them in the day as they are spilling from their harbourage spots. For every female German cockroach you have they have the potential to breed hundreds before you even realise that you have an issue. Female German cockroaches breed every 5 to 6 weeks and once their egg capsule hatches between 40 to 50 baby cockroaches will be running around. Their lifecycle can be hard to eradicate if the outbreak is quite high. Usually you will need to be put on a maintenance program by having an initial service then a follow up service 6 weeks later then depending on the conditions of your business you have services every 6 weeks to 3 months to maintain a pest free environment.

If you have a dog ask a neighbour or friend to look after it for around one hour or take the dog on a walk for an hour. If you have birds, reptiles or fish put a large damp sheet around their enclosures. If you have a cat the cat will usually go hide somewhere in the neighbours yard, if your cat is an indoor cat you will need to take your cat somewhere for an hour.

Yes, Redline Pest Control ask each of our customers to do the following:
• Do your weekly clean • Put all plates, cups, utensils and pots and pans away • Put all food away in appropriate places • If you could move furniture away from the walls so we have access to your skirting boards, if furniture is to heavy don’t worry about trying to move it as we don’t want you to hurt yourself. • If you have clothes on the clothesline please remove them • If you have pet bowls please empty them and put them away • Close all windows so the treatment will have more of an effect on your property.

Redline Pest Control does pest control all year round, we usually say to our customers to have a general pest treatment once a year. Redline Pest Control recommends that every home should have a Termite Inspection done every 12 months and every 6 months if you live in an area which has a lot of trees and bushes.
How long does a Termite Inspection take?
Every home is different and therefore the time will vary from home to home but we do ask our customers to leave around a 2 hour period for us to perform the Termite Inspection. Larger homes can take up to 3 to 4 hours depending on size.
Do I get a report for my Termite Inspection?
Yes, each property that has a Termite Inspection receives a comprehensive report which is either handed on the day or emailed over to you within 48 hours of having the Termite Inspection done.
I have had a Rodent Treatment, will I see dead rats or mice in my home?
It is really hard to say as each treatment is different. Around 9 out of 10 rodents do die outside as they go searching for a water source as the bait we use has a thinning agent in it causing the rodents to become dehydrated. There is that 1% that a rodent does die inside, this is due to your home having a water source. If the rodents do die the bait we use coagulates their blood and you may smell an odour for around 24 to 48 hours.
Will the bait used for Rodent Treatments affect my kids or pets?
No, we strategically place baits where children and pets cannot get to. For any rodent treatments which are outside or in certain parts of your home where bait needs to be applied we have lockable bait stations which children and pets cannot get into.
What if it rains the day of my treatment?
If it is raining the day of your treatment you will receive a call from one of our customer service representatives to advise you that we need to reschedule your appointment. If you are having a rodent treatment or German cockroach treatment only the service will still go ahead. If it rains an hour after we have done the treatment we will organise a time to come out and re spray the external areas of your home. Anything over an hour you need not worry as the chemical has already set it.
Do you offer same day Pest Services?
Yes, depending on availability on that day. It is best to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Do you have a warranty on Pest Control?

So you have discovered that you have Pantry Moths in your kitchen, now what can you do to eradicate them.
Here is some instructions on how to eradicate them on your own without having to call a pest control company to come out and provide you with a treatment.
Any reputable pest control company will advise you on how you can get rid of pantry moths on your own before recommending a pest treatment which can cost you hundreds of dollars.
Redline Pest Control will always advise you of alternative treatment before commencing on a pest treatment as some pest are easy to eradicate yourself.
Once the Pantry moth has been located it’s time to clean up the mess that they have left behind.
You will need to inspect every inch of your pantry and food packaging whether it is open or not as they will eat through the packaging.
If you are certain you have located the only food items infested, just put them in a garbage bag, seal it and throw it outside in your council bin.
Also look to your ceiling as sometimes you can find the larvae crawling along your ceiling. Larvae look like creamy colour maggots.
If you do find the larvae also wash your ceiling with soapy water or eucalyptus oil.
If you are positive that you have a more than one source then you will need a more methodical process:
1. Inspect every box, bag or package of food, even if it is sealed, open it 2. Check unlikely spots like dried herbs, pasta, dog and cat biscuits, etc. 3. Inspect every can or jar, lids and rims of cans are big enough for pantry moth’s pupa to spin a web. If you find webbing, wash it with water. 4. Remove all shelving liners as they could be breeding underneath the liners. 5. Vacuum all edges of walls, shelves and shelf hinges 6. Wash down all walls, floors and especially the inside of the door hinges and door jams; you can use sugar soapy water or eucalyptus oil.
When you are certain that you have thoroughly removed the sources of pantry moths empty your vacuum bag and wash down your garbage bin.
Once you finish cleaning you can put down insect glue boards which are boards that have a pheromone in it to attract the male pantry moth and will trap it therefore will help stop the breading process.
